✨ how to send good vibes! ✨

powerpriestess:

In the spiritual, metaphysical, and witchy communities, you’ll hear a lot of people say things like “sending love” or “sending good vibes”! fun fact, most people don’t know how to actually do that haha. with a little bit of practice and basic understanding of energy, it’s actually very easy to send simple healing energy to someone. before we jump in, it’s important to note the ethics of energy work. A L W A Y S ask for permission before doing any kind of energy work on someone.  even if you’re only sending positivity! there’s a difference between praying for someone/keeping them in your thoughts and actually sending them energy. you never know how your energy will affect them. maybe they’re not ready to heal. or maybe they’re doing their own healing and your energy might throw theirs out of balance. only do energy work on people who are open to it! 🌙  ✨✨

  1. set an intention of positivity. this is vv important! make sure you make it clear that you only intend to send positivity. I like to say something along the lines of: “may this energy be filled with nothing but love and light” or “my intention is to send only that which is pure”.if you want to send bad vibes, just set the opposite intention (not that I recommend sending anything negative lmao)
  2. get into a meditative state and positive mindset! you can’t effectively send someone good energy if you’re not in a good mental state, first. take some time to breath, meditate, listen to some relaxing music, eat, etc.
  3. visualize that the person is in front of you. Imagine every detail of their appearance as if they’re physically in the room with you. it might take a while to create this image so take your time and breathe through it. don’t rush!
  4. imagine a ball of bright light glowing and expanding from the center of your heart. this is referred to as your heart chakra! feel free to play around with different colors while visualizing. green symbolizes healing energy, pink is the energy of love, and white is cleansing energy. these are the main colors associated with the heart chakra.
  5. next, hold your hand to your heart and imagine your hand absorbing that healing/loving/cleansing energy. at this point, you might physically feel a pulsing or warmness in your hands. make sure you’re still breathing and taking your time!
  6. extend your hand towards the person you’re visualizing and imagine that the energy is flowing through your palms and into their heart center. the pulsing sensation may get stronger at this point! If you don’t feel a pulse, it’s fine. I promise it’s still working!
  7. keep sending the energy until all of that light is drained from your palm!
  8. to close out the session, visualize a waterfall of white energy washing over you and replenishing your energy.

congratulations, you just completed some basic energy work bby! there are so many ways to go about sending energy but this is my favorite way. It’s quick (should take 10-15 minutes) and perfect for beginners!

Spell Writing

thelittlekitchenwitch:

Writing one’s own spells can be daunting for a fledgling witch. I hope this little bit will help out:

Intent is the most important part of any spell. Without intent, there is no direction for the magick and things kind of fizzle at best. Know exactly what your goal is when setting out writing a spell.

Next, think about spell aids. Herbs, crystals, candles, ect. Whatever you think you need to help make your spell successful. Make sure they correspond to your intentions. If you aren’t sure, trust your intuition and remember magick works differently for different people so if something feels wrong about a plant or crystal someone has suggested you use, skip it.

Apply the same thought process to the ink you use when writing anything you need written for the spell. Again, you can let your intuition guide you here. Use a color that you feel is appropriate.

Time to write your spell. You will notice a lot of spells are written in prose. It has its own rhythm adds to the power of the spell. It, however, is unnecessary. You don’t have to have it perfect right away. Once you have your thoughts and ideas down, you can toy with them until they are where you want them.

How To: Make Ink from Flowers

cursedhorseshoes:

This is by far the most abundant ink I have in my house is that of inks made from flowers. This is the easiest and fastest inks to be made and require the least amount of materials to produce brilliant and soft colors. The inks from flowers can be either stunning and dark, or a lighter and more pale like one would expect from watercolor. Flower inks don’t last as long as inks produced from berries or nuts, and being left in the sunlight will fade their colors faster, but since this ink is so fast and easy to make, it can always be in supply. The shelf life of this ink is about a month if kept in the dark, but this is dependent on the color itself.

Materials:

  • Glass containers (preferably mason jars or drinking cups)
  • A pestle or other wooden tool (to crush the flowers with)
  • Boiling water
  • Cheese cloth
  • Rubbing Alcohol or 100 Proof Vodka
  • Glass storage container
  • Optional: Gum Arabic

How to Enchant 💧

Your jewelry can be enchanted and programmed to do almost anything- with protection, a glamour or a charm just for luck.

A basic way to Enchant an object of jewelry is to first create an altar set up: illustrated is a basic set up I like to use to charge the jewelry with my intent:

Light the candles envisioning or speaking our your intent and pour sea water into the bowl. On a small piece of paper, sigilize your intent and place under the sea water bowl in the center of your altar.

Arrange your items around the altar- I prefer to keep it symmetrical and meditate on the properties the items are lending to the piece of jewelry- for a beauty glamour, Rose Quartz for attracting love, Rosemary for warding and protection and for being associated with Aphrodite, etc.

When you’re finished setting up, slowly dip the piece of jewelry in the sea water, visualizing it being purified and cleansed. Then, if it is a necklace, arrange it around the bowl. If it’s a ring or earrings, empty the bowl and place the item in the bowl.

Leave to charge with the candles burning for as long as you wish.

Voila!

5 Easy methods of protecting yourself.

theramblingpagans:

Whether you have been practising magic for 30 years or a little witchling or anywhere in between protecting yourself (and your home) is probably something you are going to want to do, there are some pretty simple ways to do so, here is my list and ideas, yes there are more than this, but these are my go to ideas.

1.       Salt: salt is amazing for protection, whether it is a line in front or around your house, or salt water (sea water works also) in a spray bottle, spray it on yourself visualising it creating a protective barrier over you or in your home. Using salt water in a spray bottle is also fantastic for cleansing.

2.       Protection pennies: this little simple spell is used on pennies, the pennies can then be carried around with you for protection, or they can be put in the entryways/windows of your home. Just make sure as you are doing this spell you are putting your intent into it.

3.       Sigils: you could design your own sigil, or find one in a book or online that fits with your needs and draw it on yourself, home, car, and even another person.

4.       Charm bags or witchy bottles: bag or bottle of specially picked herbs, with intent put into it then either worn/carried on your person or hung up around your home.

5.       Ask for it: If you work with deities, entities or even spirits you could ask them for help in protecting yourself or home. You never know they may be willing to protect you.
